Even though it’s a simple idea, everyone I’ve given this to has liked it so you can have it as well. Basically I took oOoOO’s excellent track ‘Hearts’, dropped the pitch, sped it up a wee bit and dropped a load of reverb on it to turn it into a way more melancholic track than it originally was. I dunno, I like it. Maybe you will too.

It’s been a while since I seriously blasted some bass-heavy electro jams. Winter is made for okkvlt stylins’, but lately I’ve had a bit more bounce to the ounce. Could be the warmer weather, could be partying at GERMS, or it could just be that I’ve been drinking coke for the first time in three years since I’ve been too lazy to buy more coffee. I hate winter. I fucking hate it. I love Christmas, though, but I can’t really abide temperatures under 50 degrees. “Move to LA and get a boob job, Tit Man. Combine your love of breats with your mistrust of insects and get monster jugs filled with bugs.” Sweet idea, m8, but there’s one problem: I also hate driving, so a place without a decent public transport system is yucky for me. Instead I’ll just keep cranking out the summer-themed compilations, all hazy and nostalgic and just a bit dark. Okkvlt for life, rad as heck druid death awaits me.

I was just slammin’ and jammin’ my dickhead earlier today, and suddenly it occurred to me: “You know who would hate this? Kathleen Hanna.” So, after bashfully covering up my ‘PUSSYBRUTE’ chest tattoo and glaring at my balls for a couple minutes, I started digging up some memories from my love of all things punk and riot grrrl from the ’90s. Together with some old LP knowledge and a few choice selections from the realm of modern punk and garage, I made this compilation of lady-bands. I realize it doesn’t have any Bikini Kill on it, but frankly I don’t need Hanna to read this post and then murder my w33n0rz. :(

A lot of people have been asking me to make another mixtape in the vein of my Fuzzy Wolf Summer cassette-style mix. Well I’m here to tell you: sometimes dreams become reality. Just in time for Fall, behold a new tape of dronegasms, psychedelic meanderings, and lo-fi fuzz, served brisk and slightly washed out. Just like Autumn!
I made this mixtape just for the rad (and extremely talented!) Laura Wolf, but I’ll share it with you because you’re good people, in a very general sense because I don’t really know most of you. Shove this into your jambox for a summer full of all the fuzzy lo-fi shitgaze, dronegasms and psychedelia you could want!
