MESS MAKER
Sweden’s Oreda is all across the board with his sounds; hitting club-ready electro with a banging Death In June reimagining and riding the chillwave on ‘Stressed Out’, but two of his songs really blew me away. ‘Wake Up’s Arabic-inspired wails and throbbing beat was like the sinister ClubKid cousin of Rainbow Arabia, while ‘Going To The Sea’ channels mid-’80s industrialists and now-wave Witch House gone falsetto. He still hasn’t found his full sound yet, but what he’s uncovered so far is delicious.
