I can’t believe I haven’t written about one of my absolute favorite nights in NYC yet. GHE20 GOTHIK is everything a true darq s0ul could want. Hosted by the lovely Venus X and featuring some amazing guest DJs (including Pictureplane’s Travis Edgy, Dutch E Germ from Gang Gang Dance, and Brenmar of These Are Powers) as well as a regular crew of spin-spectres, this is THE place to be to hear the illest sounds of the night. I’m talking chopped ‘n’ screwed hip-hop, ghost juke, witch house, dutch house, deep house, creeped-out R’n’B, oldskool industrial, and the dankest dubstep this side of the UK. Resident DJ Physical Therapy also makes some incredibly heavy remixes, my favorites being his haunting rework of Alicia Keys’ ‘Unthinkable’ and his nearly hour-long megamix dedicated to fellow GG DJ $hayne. Grab a taste of what’s dark and delicious in New York.
